Recall Description
Over time the backup lamp switch could corrode and fail. If this happens the backup lamps will not turn on when the transmission is shifted into reverse and the shift position will not display. Additionally for vehicles equipped with a rearview camera the camera image will not appear on the display in the instrument cluster.
Remedy
Subaru will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and if necessary replace the backup lamp switch.
